Nice to Meet You!

Hello everyone and welcome to Mommy’s Playground! I am so excited to start blogging about being a mom, sharing experiences and raising important questions to all of you so that we can have great discussions. My goal with Mommy’s Playground is to create a place where after dinner is served, the laundry is done and baths have been given to all in need, we come together and play. Yes, we play vitally simply by focusing on ourselves and talking about things that are important to us. I hope to create a place for moms where we can be honest and judgment free, no matter how good or bad your day is going.

I am proud to be a mom to a super active two year old boy, who is making my world very busy and fun. Needless to say, free time is always a great luxury to the point where taking a long shower needs to be planned way in advance (and approved by the husband of course). Between taking care of the family and constantly attempting to find the ‘work-life balance’ everyone’s talking about, it’s easy to get caught in the routine. I personally find it challenging to find time to focus on myself and do what I like without having the constraints of time weighing on me. There is always something to be done around the house, another book to be read, or a new kids song to be though. With all of that, before you know it, the day is over and I am barely able to make it to bed without falling asleep. Sounds familiar? I bet it does.

Needless to say, we have the best job in the world! We are given the privilege to raise beautiful children whom with all of our efforts and hard work are going to become amazing adults. Until this is true however, marching towards that day can be wonderful and exhausting at ones. This is why we need a playground where only mommy’s play and unwind. Think of it as your virtual glass of wine. Welcome to your playground!
